SBDC Lomita, CA
A quinceañera is one of the most meaningful celebrations in many families — and finding the right venue can make or break the entire event. Whether you're planning for 50 or 300 guests, the South Bay has options. Here's how to navigate the process.
Guest count determines almost everything else: the venue size you need, the catering budget, and how early you'll need to book. For most quinceañeras in the South Bay, guest lists run between 100 and 250. Before you tour any venue, have a rough number in mind — even a range.
At SBDC, our Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 300 guests, while the Banquet Ballroom and Club Room handle mid-size gatherings comfortably. We recommend touring all three if your list is flexible.
Many venues require you to use their catering — and charge accordingly. BYOF (Bring Your Own Food) venues let you bring your own caterer, food, and beverages with no restrictions. This can save families thousands of dollars.
SBDC is a BYOF venue. You bring the caterer, the food, the drinks, and the DJ. We provide the space, the tables and chairs, and the kitchen access.

Weekend dates in the South Bay fill up fast, especially from April through October. If your daughter's quinceañera falls on a Saturday, you'll want to secure your venue at least 3 months out — ideally 6.
